The first recording of surprise International Finalists, Joker's Wild, who went on to become champions of the Barbershop Harmony Society within 4 years. Their rise to the top was quite predictable to all of their fans who recognized their unique blend and style.

Joker's Wild surprised everyone, including themselves (!) when they were chosen to sing in the Top Ten at the 1991 International Convention. None of the original four had previously set foot on the big stage and had just won their first-ever district championship in 1990 after only 4 rehearsals.  There was truly something special about this blend of voices and performance, which was evident 'right-from-the-start' in their meeting at in August 1990. In 1992 they placed fifth, 1993 second and 1994 International Champions. They did it with perfection of style and beautiful voices. This recording is a fine reminder of their winning repertoire at that time. In true Joker style you'll hear "Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart," David Wright's terrific arrangements of "The Original Dixieland One-Step" and "Stars Fell On Alabama," Don Gray's "Georgia On My Mind," Ed Waesche's "My Buddy" and David Harrington's beautiful chart of the hymn "It Is Well With My Soul", to close this audial journey.  David Wright's original composition "Right From The Start She Had My Heart" serves as the title track to this straightforward, extremely high caliber barbershop recording.

This is the perfect title for this group's initial recording, because it was.... 'Right From The Start."
